Sales People: Nothing is Too Expensive

Sales People: Nothing is Too Expensive

I previously tweeted: "Things are not too expensive, you just don't have enough cash...yet." @SirMikeAdams

I was speaking to a senior exec at Etihad Airways about their new residence class on certain A380s. This is a three room penthouse complete with butler. It's ~SG$60,000 return for two people.

I predict it will be a success.

I also know that most people will immediately dismiss this as an experience that they will never enjoy; not because they wouldn't want to experience it, but because they believe it's too much money to spend and/or they don't have the money.

Sales people can be the least obviously well paid people in business!

Granted, many sales jobs don't pay big bucks but if you choose to be in sales surely your goal is to progress into the roles and sectors that pay well...and why wouldn't you?

Position yourself right, develop yourself consistently, work hard and smart, hustle and wrangle your way into the top paying sales jobs; and along the way earn big.

Expand your capabilities to match your desires. Don't shrink your life to meet what's "reasonable".

If we play the game right we can create our own economy; we can increase our earnings at will.

So don't view something as too expensive - work out how you can expand and make the money to attain it!

I know it's not all about money; but ask yourself this, if your work stop paying you to turn up would you still go? Probably not! So let's agree that money is right up there...

If you want something that seems beyond your financial means, accept that it's not "too much money", but that you have just not harnessed the vehicle of sales to attain what you are after...yet.

There is no downside to this: You win, your company wins, the economy wins.
