As of today, there are over 500 million blogs on the Internet. While you are read this article, hundreds of blogs are being published on the Internet. The number keeps growing every second. Even though blog posts are being published at a fast rate, there are only some blogs that become successful.

Why is it that some blogs do better than others?

If you’re a blogger or someone who enjoys publishing content on the Internet, then you probably know that blogging and content marketing are emerging trends in the world of digital marketing. Marketers and businesses across the world understand the importance of publishing quality content for their readers. This creation and promotion of blogs and articles is helping millions of businesses grow into more successful brands.

With thousands of blogs being published on the same topics, how do you make yours stand out?

There isn’t a lot that goes into writing a successful blog. Here’s what you need to do:

Focus on Quality

One of the first things to keep in mind while writing a blog is to keep a check on its quality. There might be a lot of bloggers out there writing about the same topics as you, but not all of them are publishing quality content. If you focus on offering unique, relevant, informative and original content that adds value to your readers, you’re already ahead of all your competition! Pay attention to the topic in discussion and don’t forget the reason why your reader is looking for this information.

When your readers are done reading your blog, they should feel satisfied with the content they just consumed. Make your blogs well worth your readers’ time.

Blog Layout

A lot of time, people will not read your entire blog, no matter how interesting your blog may be. Most of the times they just want to skim thorough your blog and scan content. To make this easier for them and to get them to stay on your blog, you should pay attention to the layout of your blog.

Diving your content into subheading makes your content appear more organized and easier to read. You’re right. But don’t forget that video content is the most widely consumed type of content on the Internet today. Everybody likes consuming video content as compared to written content. This is because it is graphical, takes up lesser time and has a much bigger impact.

If you want your readers to spend more time reading your blogs, keep them interested through storytelling. Bloggers all around the world have thousands of followers just because they chose to tell a story. Storytelling always works!

When you narrate a story you’re letting your audience know something that you experienced and in a way you are sharing a part of your life. This will add a human touch to your content and will also make your audience relate to you more.

Blogging is no longer about promoting a product or service, or sharing information. As far as businesses are concerned, blogging still continues to be a top notch marketing strategy. However, with numerous blogs revolving on the same topic, the success of your blog seems hindered. Therefore, it is important to write engaging, quality content that adds values to the readers.
