It’s easy to throw up your hands and say “I can’t” when a situation goes out of your hand. With a negative mindset, you’re likely to do the same. But what would happen if you start to see things with a positive attitude and put in some extra work before you surrender control? Things would be different, right? In fact, things would be a lot better and there are even chances that you might seek out “win” in every situation. Psychologically or scientifically, there have been plenty of pieces of evidence that a positive mindset can turn our lives around.

I bet you’ve heard of Colonel Sanders. Yeah! That’s right, Colonel Sanders is the man behind the multinational fast food joint KFC. Now, one of the most amazing qualities of Col. Sanders was that he was filled with positivity. And it was his positive attitude that made 65 years old retired fellow travel to different restaurants and cook fried chicken on the spot. Legends even have it that Colonel Sanders had to hear 1009 “no” before he got the first “yes” for his Finger Linkin Good fried chicken. Isn’t it amazing how a man builds a global empire out of his love for fried chicken? I bet it is. Plus, it shows us how a little patience and a positive mindset can help you turn your dreams into a reality.

Talking about the power of a positive mindset can feel a little cliché. However, keeping the current business scenario in mind, it is important to demonstrate people how positive thinking can give them confidence, improve their performance, and even create better development opportunities for them in their personal lives as well as work.

So, if you want to be more effective and looking for ways to being more positive, here are some clever tricks that might help you trigger positivity.

Start your Day with a Positive Affirmation

The way you start your day will set the tone for the rest of the day. You must have experienced it yourself that whenever you woke up late or panicked, nothing good happens in the rest of the day. The reason? Well, it's simply because you started your day with a bad mood and carried it into every other event you experienced that day. So, what you need to do is talk to yourself in the mirror and say ”it's going to be a good day”. I know it sounds silly but you'll be amazed to see how it improves your day.

Try Positive Self-Talk

There is no such thing as a “perfect day”. So be ready to face new challenges each day. Now, when you face a challenge, try to concentrate on getting things right instead of crying about it. Calm yourself with some positive self-talk. Keep reassuring yourself that everything will be alright and you've got everything under control.

It's a well-known fact that when you surround yourself with good, positive people, you gain a positive attitude towards life. You learn positive words, hear positive stories, and as a result, you let positivity affect your own line of thinking.

Things don't always go the way you plan them. Allow yourself to find positivity in even the most trying situation using humor. Turn your bad experiences into a good story and don't hesitate to crack a joke about it.

Focus on the Present

When I say “present”, I mean “this exact moment”. Not today, not this hour, only this moment. Just forget what happened 5 minutes ago or what will happen 5 minutes later, stay in the present moment. Don't let yourself fall victim to exaggerated imagination. Focus on this exact moment and make it worth.

Turn failures into lessons

Nobody is perfect. We make mistakes and even experience failure in multiple contexts. Now, instead of mourning over failure, think about how you failed and what you can do to avoid the same mistakes in the future. In simple words, turn every failure into a lesson and let it inspire you to succeed.

Positive mind. Positive vibes. Positive life.
