Aching to Make a Move? Here's How!

It’s the holidays. Yep, already. Time for office holiday parties. Copious tins filled with those obscenely delicious Scandinavian cookies. Bad sweater design. You know the drill. But once the dust settles and your holiday spirit gives way to reason, you might realize that you kinda hate your job. Which means it’s time to go!

The Artificial Intelligence War

I'm worried and won't lie. I'm not sleeping well at all these days because I'm seriously concerned about the futures of Executive Assistants everywhere...especially my MEGAs. Maybe it was a mistake, but I took a plunge down the rabbit hole and started binge watching YouTubes from Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Sam Harris all having similar, REAL fears about the future of Artificial Intelligence and how it will impact business and jobs over the next 5 - 10 years.

Artificial Intelligence: A Practical Viewpoint

I always frown a little bit when people call me "The Disruptor" or "The Fresh, New Voice on the Scene." Seriously, I just tell the truth. No lube. No sugarcoating. No bedtime story afterward. The truth has become something people fear hearing vs. actually wanting to hear it and using the information to avert disaster or stave off the inevitable for as long as they can. Ready?

On Diversity in Tech

"So, there's only 3 chocolate chips in this whole cookie. Am I right?" After explaining the snarky metaphor to a member of the Legal team I had just joined, an Asian female I might add, she and I burst into laughter. And then we turned in our seats, looked around the huge open plan office together, and counted exactly 3 African American employees in the 350+ Square had at the time (2013). "Oh my God, you're right! Wow."Ironically, they were serving freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for lunch that day. They were delicious. Especially the chocolate chips.

Lessons for Aspiring Entrepreneurs from Shark Tank

I’m not a big fan of reality TV, but there’s one show that I watch without fail since it started airing in India – Shark Tank. For the uninitiated, Shark Tank provides aspiring entrepreneurs a platform to seek capital in exchange for equity to a panel of ‘Sharks,’ which includes billionaire investors Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary (aka “Mr. Wonderful”).
