5 Unknown Secrets That can Make You Uber-Productive

“ Oh Gosh! Yet another post on productivity. Let me see what they’ve got to say”, you might be thinking in your head whilst yawning in your office.

In fact, there is a bunch of talented folks who have already enlightened us about the benefits of introducing new habits into our routine and skyrocket our productivity levels. This post is more about things that you might already know or even doing, but what if you're not doing them in the right way or quantities? This being said, most of us have at least a secret or two up the sleeves that can actually make us productivity wizards.

Looking for a magic-formula to make your work-life balanced and productive? Switch to ProofHub.

So, here are 5 secrets that help me stay on top of things and accomplish more with less:

1. Understand the rhythm of your body

Are you someone who is full of energy as soon as you wake up or you take your sweet little time to warm up before diving into something? Whatever be the case, you can be as productive as you want to be but you have to understand the dynamics of your body and mind first.

Do some research and observe the time you are most attentive and focused and see for how long you can manage to stay in that ‘zone’. Once you’ve understood how your body works, you can accomplish much more than you can ever think of.

2. Master your time to master your life

You must learn to focus on important things before it gets too overwhelming and starts getting on your nerves. People who belong to the esteemed group of the ‘Productive and Successful’ know what exactly needs to be done at what time.

People have productivity problems not because there isn’t much time but because of the fact that they don’t manage their time well. They spend too much time on irrelevant and inconsequential things that they don’t have enough time to do things that actually matter. As Arthur Schopenhauer, a famous German philosopher once said, “Ordinary people think merely of spending time, great people think of using it.”

3. Make hard choices

At times, you have to stop doing certain things to be able to do things you actually want to. Similarly to become your productive-self, you might have to make some hard choices when it comes to your habits, desires, routine, and even lifestyle. Most of us are guilty of checking our phones way too much, binge-watching our favorite TV shows till midnight, not taking the pain to wrap things up and leaving them for tomorrow.

If you wish to bring your life on track and live a productive life, it’s time to ditch those habits. It’s time to make some hard choices for a better tomorrow. Remember that sometimes, the hardest thing is the right thing to do.

4. Take good care of yourself

No matter where you are and what you are doing, it’s important to take care of yourself. Make sure you are listening to your mental and physical needs by getting a minimum sleep of 6-7 hours, eating a wholesome diet, drinking lots of water and fresh juices, and exercising for at least three days a week.

One of the compelling pieces of evidence comes from a study that proves that happiness and well-being boost productivity by 12%. This helps you to operate at your optimal energy levels and develop laser-sharp focus throughout the day. As they say that you can’t be productive if you aren’t happy and healthy.

5. Stop procrastinating and just do it!

Procrastination and productivity are two sides of a coin. It’s completely up to you what you choose and act upon. If there’s something that I’ve learned all these years is that to get started and do things — no matter how hard they seem to be. It’s okay to procrastinate little ‘harmless’ things but we must ensure that we aren’t procrastinating the big and the important stuff.

The only way to be productive is to get off your butt and do something about it. It’s as simple as that. A lot of us have ideas but only a handful of them decide to act on them at that very moment. Not tomorrow. Not the next week but that very moment.

Simple, effective, and super-productive!

What are your secrets?

I’m sure you would already know most of the above-mentioned things but little reminders don’t harm, right?

So, it’s time for you to share your secrets, tips, and hacks in the comments that help you being productive or could help others to unleash their productive side.

That’s all for now. Happy productivity!
