DISCLAIMER: If I am going to tell you how to become a master of your time, you have to consider the possibility that you might need to reframe your idea of time and time management.

Ready? Let’s start with the basics.

What is the concept of time?—Here at ProofHub, we see time as an illusion. It is an artificial human construct.

Most of us are under the constant illusion that we don’t have enough time. Though we have the same weeks/days/hours/minutes/seconds as… Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and every other person in this world.

Sure. It’s limited. Considering the number of tasks we get to do in a day, we have limited hours to get everything done. But it’s always there. And there are others like you and me who have shown time and again that time is just what it is. We don't need more time nor do we have a lack of it.

The real time-saving opportunity lies in focusing on the important aspect of the day and getting the most out of it in the available time. Along with that, here are a few tips that all of us should consider putting to practice:

1. Pick Work Responsibly

Adding an additional task to your to-do is similar to adding an extra piece of dessert to your meal. At the end of the day, you’ll regret having it. That’s why it is important that you say yes to any additional task or responsibility after a lot of careful thinking.

2. Use a Calendar

We understand the pain of having too many things to do yet having no clue which task to take up first. And that is the reason why we provided a special calendar view in ProofHub. With that, we offer individuals and teams a clear view of their events, tasks, and milestones in one place so that they can prioritize their tasks appropriately. Stay on top of your schedules and deadlines. Try ProofHub!

3. Start Batching

This one is quite logical. When you take a careful look at your to-do for the day, you will notice that most of the tasks are either similar or dependent on each other for completion. The best thing to do in this case is to group similar tasks and dedicate a specific window of time to that batch.

4. Track,Track,Track

Using time tracking as part of your routine can increase productivity by 30%‎. It not only reduces the amount of time one might spend on workplace distractions but also gives clarity over how much time a specific task is taking.

So, what do we really need to become the master of your time? The answer is—efficiency and effectiveness. Remember it as Peter Drucker once portrayed it: “Efficiency is doing things right, effectiveness is doing the righ
