Singapore PR Application: What Documents Are Needed?

Singapore is brimming with attractions that tourists will love.

No matter what you’re looking for, there will always be something to do and see in Singapore.

But this country isn’t just a haven for tourists. It’s also a place for those seeking a place to live where they could enjoy a work-life balance, great weather, and more.

There are many reasons to move to Singapore, especially now that the country is expecting already expecting to recover from the pandemic this year.

However, like in any country, you’ll need to provide some documents for you to be granted residency in Singapore. If you’re planning to move to Singapore, here are some documents you need to prepare.

Photo

Every person applying for a residency in Singapore is required to provide their photo. And there are some specifics that you need to take note of before you submit any photo. Your photo should be 33mm wide and 45mm high without a border. When scanned and uploaded to the embassy’s system, it should be 400 by 514 pixels and saved in either JPG or JPEG format

The photo should also have a white background. There must be no distracting marks visible. Additionally, make sure that your face is neither obstructed by facial nor head accessories unless your racial or religious custom requires you to do so. And if you regularly wear a pair of glasses, you can continue to wear it but make sure that your whole face is still visible.

Passport and Passes

You also need to submit copies of your valid travel documents, including your current passport that should be valid at least six months from your planned date of entry. You’ll only need to upload pages from it that display your personal information and should be translated and notarized if they aren’t in English.

You’ll need to submit an immigration pass too (Employment Pass, S Pass, Entrepreneur Pass, Personalised Employment Pass, Long Term Visit Pass, Short Term Visit Pass, Dependent’s Pass, or Student’s Pass). But don’t worry, as stated in https://dreamimmigrationsg.com, you don’t need to submit all of these. Just choose which pass applies to you, and do not forget to notarize the documents.

Identification Documents

Aside from your passport, you’re also required to submit some identification documents to prove your identity. This includes your citizen’s identity cards, deed poll, family register, and birth certificate. This also allows the ICA to build a profile of your family, particularly if you have family ties to its citizens.

Education Certificates

If you are a spouse of a current SPR or SC, child of current SPR or SC, Employment or S Pass holder under the PTS scheme, international student, or a foreign investor under the GIP scheme, you’ll need to provide additional documents such as certificates that prove your highest educational attainment.

Being a Singapore citizen has many benefits, which is why it’s worth considering moving to Singapore. But then again, you’ll need to make sure that the documents you submit are correct so your PR will be easily approved. This list of documents will help you have a checklist and ensure that you’ve prepared everything.
