Leveraging Robots to Find Lost Items in Crowded Places in Smart Cities

To overcome these problems, robotics in smart cities has developed robots using RFusion technology and a brain-computer interface to find the lost items swiftly.

RFusion Technology

RFusion technology is a type of robotic system that has the capability to retrieve items that are visible in the line of sight. Researchers at MIT have created a robotic arm, which comprises a camera and an antenna attached to the gripper that is designed to emit radio frequency. The module transmits signals received from the antenna and provides a visual to locate any missing item that is lost in a pile of waste or even out of view.

The robots are designed with RFID tags that use electromagnetic energy to connect subsequent target products. The antenna present on the robotics in smart cities starts scanning missing items from the antenna and uses the tracking RFID technology to create an approximate measurement from the object to the module. The system is 96% accurate and can retrieve lost items in crowded places or piles of rubble. While any traditional method would take hours to complete the simple task, these robots can perform the same within a few minutes.

A mind-controlled robot makes use of a brain-computer interface that is connected to the brain internally or externally. The technology helps convey complex messages from human intelligence onto robots. The simple system helps robots decipher and navigate through objects and materials to find missing items in cities. The brain waves create a neurological mechanism that allows robots to sweep past rubble, clutter or any obstacle to locate the correct item. The closed-loop setup in these robots helps provide valuable feedback and information on any changes in the system to precisely locate the item. The versatile algorithm embedded in robotics in smart cities can make the complex task simple through its efficient working style.

Finding a lost key or looking for a credit card is a tiring process that can lead to chaos for a busy commuter. The innovation of smart robotics in smart cities has radically changed the outlook of this problem. Constant development is going on that is aimed to improve the revolutionary technology to reduce the time taken by the robots to measure and locate the object precisely in the system. As and when the system is available, the larger public residents in smart homes will be assisted in their daily duties with this technology.
