How to Improve the Quality of Relationships Using the iMA Diagnostic

Donnie MacNicol 15/03/2021 4

We all have a unique mix of emotions. One that is becoming more prominent for me is frustration at not being able to do something positive, beyond supporting family, friends and my direct community.

Like many other organisations, I plan to make our resources freely available as well as my own expertise. Wrt the latter, I am starting to run weekly calls, with Jonathan Norman, for Delivery Leaders, details of which you can find in my previous article, I would now like to make available the resources that will be of most value to meet the challenges people are facing right now.

Please remember, every interaction counts - increase your chances of success by better understanding your own and other peoples styles and preferences.

The first resource I would like to make available is "Improve the quality of relationships using the iMA Diagnostic - What colour are you?"

The file can be viewed below or if you click the Slideshare logo you can go to the site and download. Apologies that I cannot attach directly to this article. I am currently re-doing my website from the ground up so I have no facility to share it currently. Not the neatest solution but it is quick and hopefully as it is within LinkedIn ecosystem it will be easy for people to find and download. Please feel free to distribute freely. I am keeping each resource to a single side of A4 which I assume is as much as most people will take in at this time.

The insights can be easily applied to remote working.

If you are interested in finding out more about iMA and how it can improve communication and engagement then I would suggest you watch the video I made a few years ago, courtesy of Andrew Delo the PM Channel. The video is embedded in the article below. At over 12 minutes it is not of the snappy / walking through London doing a selfie style that is in predominance today but I did do 22 of them in one day! I plan much more focused videos - the internet desperately needs another middle aged man with something to say capturing himself on video.

For those more observant amongst you will notice that the iMA profiles on the video are in different quadrants of the 2*2 matrix - it is simply that I had the axis in a different orientation up until recently.

I hope you have find these resources of interest. Some great stuff out there at the moment and hopefully this will be of similar value. If it is then please like, share and spread the word.

Good luck in dealing with the challenges you may have.

Keep well

Donnie

We are all participating in virtual calls, looking for safety and comfort. Authenticity, transparency and trust are few of the qualities that are relevant in this pandemic.
