BT Sport to be Rebranded as TNT Sports: A New Era in Premium Sports Broadcasting

BT Sport, one of the leading sports broadcasting brands in the UK, will soon be rebranded as TNT Sports.

This change is part of a joint venture between BT Group and Warner Bros. Discovery, which aims to create a premium sports brand that will continue to offer fans in the UK and Ireland access to a wide range of live sports coverage. The new brand will launch later this year, just before the start of the 2023/2024 football season.

The joint venture combines the strengths of BT Sport and Eurosport UK, creating a powerhouse of live sports coverage that includes major events such as the Olympic Games, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Premiership Rugby, MotoGP, UFC, Boxing, WWE, tennis Grand Slams, cycling Grand Tours, and the winter sports season. Although Eurosport (U.K & Ireland only) will become part of the new brand in the future, fans can continue to enjoy BT Sport on all channels and platforms until then.

TNT Sports aims to maintain the fan-first approach that has made BT Sport a popular brand among sports enthusiasts in the UK and Ireland. The name TNT Sports already has an association with premium live sports in other countries, where it has been home to top-level domestic and European football in Latin America and the NBA, NHL, and NCAA in the US. The brand is expected to continue the spirit of what BT Sport has built over the past decade, bringing fans even more exciting and extensive coverage of live sports.
