Brexit, the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, has been a long and arduous process that has had significant consequences for Britain.

Despite promises of a brighter future, the reality of Brexit has been one of economic instability, political chaos, and social unrest. In this article, we will explore the various ways in which Brexit has destroyed Britain.

Severe Economic Consequences

Brexit has had a devastating impact on the British economy. The uncertainty surrounding the process has led to a significant decline in investment, with many businesses either moving operations abroad or scaling back their operations in the UK. This has resulted in a loss of jobs and a decline in economic growth.

Additionally, the pound has taken a significant hit since the Brexit vote. This has made imports more expensive, which has pushed up prices for consumers. The cost of living has increased, and many families are struggling to make ends meet.

Political Chaos

There have been 5 prime ministers in the UK since the Brexit referendum in 2016.

  • David Cameron (2010-2016): Cameron resigned after the UK voted to leave the European Union in the Brexit referendum.

  • Theresa May (2016-2019): May was elected leader of the Conservative Party after Cameron resigned. She negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the EU, but it was rejected by the UK Parliament three times. She resigned after failing to get her Brexit deal through Parliament.

  • Boris Johnson (2019-2022): Johnson was elected leader of the Conservative Party after May resigned. He renegotiated the withdrawal agreement with the EU and got it through Parliament. The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020. Johnson resigned in 2022 after a series of scandals.

  • Liz Truss (2022-2022) served as Prime Minister for 45 days in 2022, after Johnson resigned but before Sunak was elected leader of the Conservative Party.

  • Rishi Sunak (2022-present): Sunak was elected leader of the Conservative Party after Johnson resigned. He is the first person of Indian origin to become prime minister of the UK.

Brexit has led to political chaos in the UK. The process of leaving the EU has been extremely divisive, with many people on both sides of the debate feeling passionately about the issue. This has led to a breakdown in trust between politicians and the public, with many people feeling that their voices have not been heard.

Furthermore, the Brexit process has been mired in controversy, with accusations of lying, cheating, and corruption being levelled at various politicians and campaign groups. This has further eroded trust in the political system, and many people are now disillusioned with the entire process.

Social Unrest

Brexit has also caused significant social unrest in the UK. The issue of immigration was a key factor in the Brexit vote, and many people believed that leaving the EU would allow the UK to take back control of its borders. However, since the vote, there has been a significant rise in hate crimes and xenophobia.

This has created a hostile environment for many immigrants and minorities living in the UK. Furthermore, the issue of Brexit has polarised the country, with many families and communities divided over the issue. This has led to tensions and even arguments between friends and family members.

Weak International Relations

Brexit has had a significant impact on the UK's international relations. The UK has historically been seen as a key player in the EU, and its withdrawal has caused concern among its European neighbours. Furthermore, the UK's relationship with the US has also been affected, with President Biden warning that the UK's actions could undermine the Northern Ireland peace process.

What's Next for Britain?

Brexit has had a catastrophic impact on Britain. The economic consequences have been severe, with businesses and families struggling to cope with the increased cost of living. The political chaos has eroded trust in the political system, and the social unrest has created a hostile environment for many people living in the UK. Finally, the UK's international relations have been damaged, leaving the country isolated on the world stage. It is clear that Brexit has not delivered the brighter future that was promised, and it is likely that the consequences of this decision will be felt for years to come.

Brexit has been disastrous for Britain. Time to vote out the supporters and become liberal, tolerant Britain again. We cannot afford these windy, suspicious so called leaders. We need a peaceful revolution in thought and deed.
