Migos Rapper Takeoff Shot Dead at 28 in Houston, Texas

US rapper Takeoff, part of the trio group Migos, has been shot dead.
He was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in 1994. He was a member of the popular hip hop trio Migos. He was shot at a 'private party' as a group gathered outside of the 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston at 2.30am.
Kirshnik Khari Ball known as Takeoff was killed at a bowling alley where he was playing dice with his uncle and bandmate, Quavo, last night.
Two other victims were also rushed to hospital in a private vehicle, and it is unclear what their conditions are.
Migos were one of the most influential groups of their generation.
The band, recently split earlier this year, made several international hits including Bad and Boujee, Versace and Walk It Talk It.
Police said between 40 to 50 guests had attended a private party when someone opened fire. Security guards in the area heard the shots but did not see who fired the gun.
Migos - made up of Takeoff, Offset and Quavo - grew up together in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and came to represent the state's capital, Atlanta, arguably the spiritual home of trap music.
Their ascent halted briefly in 2015 when Offset was sent to jail following a police raid on the group's tour bus after a show at Georgia State University.
As a solo artist, Takeoff released one album – 2018’s The Last Rocket, which debuted at No 4 in the US – and one record as a duo, last month’s Only Built for Infinity Links, with Quavo.
Takeoff said that music had offered his band an escape route from poverty.
Later that year, the trio issued the mixtape Back to the Bando, which included the hit song Look at My Dab - which popularised the dabbing dance trend that was later picked up by athletes and even politicians.
Tributes have come flooding in for Takeoff after the Migos rapper was shot dead.
Boxer Chris Eubank Jr said: 'I remember @1YoungTakeoff being a very down to earth, cool dude. Can't believe I’m having to say this again about another young black star being killed for no reason, something really has to change in the industry, it’s sickening how easy & often people are dying. RIP Takeoff'.
YouTuber Jake Paul added: 'Senseless killings need to stop. Need to unify. RIP TAKEOFF.'
