When You Can Drive Without a Valid MOT

The only time that it is allowed to drive a car without a valid MOT is if you are driving to the garage for a pre-booked MOT at an authorised test centre - you may need to show proof if you are pulled over. This is why it is sensible to book your MOT for a time before your current one has expired just to be safe.
